4 Small Accessories I Carry for Editing Photos & Videos While Traveling
by jazminmarie
If you’re planning on starting your journey as a digital nomad you may think that your laptop is the only thing that you should pack, but you might want to reconsider. Although a laptop is the first thing you need is a few accessories will allow you to comfortably work from anywhere. I’ve listed some accessories I currently use and have used in the past to make me work from anywhere more with more comfort. Here are 4 small accessories that I carry for editing photos and videos while traveling:
Best Accessories for Digital Nomads
Noise Canceling Headphones
Noise canceling headphones are a great accessory to add to your bag! There is nothing worse than not being able to hear what you’re working on because you have no headphones and are in a public space. Don’t be that guy listening to your laptop on full blast and just get a set of quality headphones.
Wired Headphones
Those bulky headphones aren’t for everyone, but having at least wired headphones will allow you to hear your work regardless of the battery of your Bluetooth headphones. It’s so annoying sitting down to get some things done and my headphones have low battery, avoid that issue altogether by having a back up pair of wired headphones.
Multiple Plug Outlet
Have you ever noticed how spaced out outlets are in hotel rooms? Or the limited amount of outlets in some working spaces? It’s so annoying when I want to use the desk inside of a hotel or Airbnb, but there aren’t actually any outlets nearby. Avoid that issue altogether by carrying your own multiple plug outlet and being able to charge all of your devices together.
Multiple SD Card Reader
My laptop only has one slot for a memory card, but at the end of the day I can have four or five memory cards full of footage! All of this footage takes time to transfer onto my computer and having to wait for each single memory card to process can sometimes take forever. Using a multiple SD card reader allows you to plug all your camera Carvel and press import ones without having to worry about if you miss the memory card.
